2 Teens Killed in Fiery Crash at N. Marine Dr and N. Leadbetter Rd in Portland Identified

Portland, Ore. – The coroner's office have released the identities of the teens killed in fiery crash at an intersection in North Portland a week ago.

Cristian Perez Hernandez, 18, and Gabriel Sanchez, 16, were killed in a crash that happened at around 11:02 p.m. on February 10 at North Marine Drive and North Leadbetter Road.

Hernandez and Sanchez declared dead at the crash site. One other unidentified person was hospitalized.

Portland, Ore. – Authorities are investigating a double fiery at an intersection in North Portland Saturday night.

The Oregon State Police responded to the wreck at around 11:02 p.m. at North Marine Drive and North Leadbetter Road.

A preliminary investigation indicated that two vehicles collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances. The impact caused one of the cars to catch fire.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene. At least one more person was transported to a hospital with traumatic injuries for treatment.

North Marine Drive was closed between North Bybee Lake Road and North Pacific Gateway Boulevard as officers investigate the mishap.

Additional information about the collision was not provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
