An officer is reported to have stopped a vehicle but the suspect failed to yield and took off, leading to a pursuit

San Diego, Calif. – A San Diego police officer and two other people were injured after a police pursuit ended in a crash early Monday morning in the Emerald Hills neighborhood.
The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. on eastbound SR-94 at the Interstate 805 connector, according to the San Diego Police Department.
An officer is reported to have stopped a vehicle but the suspect failed to yield and took off, leading to a pursuit.
A short time later, the suspect lost control and crashed into an embankment. The police officer also crashed into the same embankment.
Two people in the car were hospitalized with leg fractures.
The officer was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
