An SUV and a big rig collided in the southbound lanes of the freeway near 238 Freeway
San Leandro, Calif. – One person sustained major injuries in a semi-truck accident that happened Tuesday morning on a freeway in San Leandro, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck was reported around 8:30 a.m. on the southbound 880 Freeway near the 238 Freeway.
A blue Ford Expedition and a white big rig were involved in the accident, as per the report.
One person sustained major lacerations to the forehead. Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and took the patient to the hospital in unknown condition.
At least two traffic lanes remained blocked during the investigation.
