Palm Desert, Calif. – A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a car Wednesday evening in Palm Desert, authorities reported.
The incident took place around 6:27 p.m. on northbound Washington Street, just north of Avenue 41.
Emergency personnel found a pedestrian lying in the roadway after being hit by a vehicle under unclear circumstances.
The victim was transported by AMR to Desert Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident.
