Francisco Valencia-Saucedo Injured in Fatal Hesperia Crash on Mariposa Road near Mesquite Street

, Calif.- Francisco Valencia-Saucedo, 21, of , was injured in a deadly crash in Hesperia Tuesday afternoon.

According to the authorities, the wreck happened on Mariposa Road near Mesquite Street at about 3:42 p.m. on February 20.

Authorities said Pavlo Padilla, 45, of Victorville, was driving a black 2016 Chevrolet Suburban north on Mariposa Road when he moved into the path of oncoming vehicles and hit a southbound blue 2005 Toyota Corolla head-on.

The Toyota was being driven by Pedro Valencia-Perez, 58, of Barstow.

Pedro Valencia-Perez and Jose Valencia-Saucedo, 22, of Barstow, one of his passengers, were both killed in the crash.

A second passenger, Rosa Saucedo-Negrete, 59, of Barstow, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Francisco Valencia-Saucedo was also a passenger in the Toyota and was hospitalized with serious injuries.

Pavlo Padilla was taken to hospital with serious injuries and was later arrested on charges of DUI causing injury or death, and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

An investigation into the deadly crash is ongoing.
