Barstow, Calif. – One person was seriously injured after being struck by a car near Barstow in San Bernardino on Thursday afternoon.
The collision was reported at around 12:17 p.m. on Doran Scenic Drive, just north of Calico Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say a pedestrian was struck by a Jeep in the area in unclear circumstances.
The victim, identified only as a 78-year-old man, suffered major injuries to his right leg, pelvis and ribs and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
