, Calif. – A man was killed in a collision involving a driver who ran a stop sign in County on Wednesday.

The collision happened in the area of Road 180 and Avenue 208, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Police say 67-year-old June A. Fisher of Strathmore was driving a Ram 3500 southbound on Road 180 when she failed to stop at the posted stop sign and collided with a 2006 Nissan Maxima that was traveling east on Avenue 208.

The Ram overturned after the collision and came to the rest in a dirt field.

The driver of the Nissan was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The driver of the pickup was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Additional information about the accident was not provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
