, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a deadly rear-end collision on Highway 101 in Ventura Sunday afternoon.

The CHP responded to the auto- at around 12:52 p.m. on the southbound State just north of Seacliff.

A black SUV and a black Toyota pickup were involved in the wreck. Reports stated that one of the cars rear-ended the other.

One person, whose identity was not released died at the scene.

No more details about the collision was provided.

An investigation is underway.
