Phoenix, Ariz.- The police have identified the woman who was killed after her car was struck by a light rail train in Central Phoenix on Saturday as 76-year-old Sandra Barbre.
Preliminary information revealed that the light rail was traveling west through the intersection of 20th and Washington Streets on a green light when Sandre's car crossed in front of it, leading to the collision.
Barbre and her female passenger were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Barbre died at the hospital, while the other woman remains in critical condition.
