One person died after a semi-truck collided with two vehicles on the 5 Freeway near Indiana Street in Boyle Heights

Los Angeles, Calif. – One person was killed in a fiery collision involving a big rig near Boyle Heights in Los Angeles early Tuesday morning.
The accident was reported at around 2:42 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway just north of Indiana Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A big rig and two other vehicles were involved in the early morning crash. One of the vehicles reportedly caught fire after the collision.
One person was killed in the collision, according to the CHP.
The deceased person was not immediately identified.
At least one other person was injured and was taken to USC Medical Center for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
