Yuba County, Calif. – The man who was killed in a car accident in Yuba County on Monday night has been identified as Shane Bunn, 34, of Marysville, according to the Yuba County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck occurred on Feather River Boulevard north of Murphy Road at about 8 p.m. February 27.
A Toyota Corolla was traveling south on Feather River Boulevard when it tried to pass a BMW, a Honda CRV, and a white Nissan Altima traveling ahead.
The Corolla sideswiped the Nissan and the BMW and hit the rear of the CRV.
The impact sent the CRV off the roadway and down an embankment, where it hit a concrete block culvert.
Bunn, who was driving the CRV, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, Larry Lee Anderson Jr., 50, of Plumas Lake, fled the scene after the crash but was later arrested for suspected second-degree murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, among other charges.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.
