, Ariz. – Authorities are investigating a deadly fiery multi-vehicle collision near 67th Avenue in Phoenix on Thursday.

The Phoenix Fire Department responded to the deadly crash near 67th Avenue and Street on February 29.

A preliminary investigation indicated that a single vehicle slammed into parked vehicles for unknown reasons causing one of the cars to catch fire.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and the second person was rushed to a hospital with severe injuries for treatment.

Officers with the Phoenix Police Department located a victim with a gunshot wound in the car and detained a passenger who was uncooperative.
