Marysville, Wash.- A Washington State Patrol trooper was killed in an accident in Marysville early Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on Interstate 5 near 136th Street North shortly before 3 a.m.
The trooper was reportedly hit by a vehicle on the southbound side of I-5.
The unidentified trooper was killed in the accident.
The southbound lanes of I-5 were shut down as authorities investigated the crash.
