Apple Valley, Calif. – Two people were critically injured in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Apple Valley Sunday evening.
According to a local source, the serious injury traffic collision was reported at Kiowa and Rancherias Roads at around 7:12 p.m.
A white KIA Optima collided with a gray Ford SUV for reasons not yet established.
One person had been trapped and was extricated. Two people suffered critical injuries and were transported to a nearby landing zone where they were airlifted to trauma centers.
A third person suffered minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital for treatment.
The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed.
