Yolo County, Calif. – Two people were flown to hospital after a collision in Yolo County on Tuesday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident occurred on County Road 99W and 2nd Street at around 10:15 a.m.

According to the CHP, a white and a white SUV collided after one of the drivers failed to stop for a stop sign.

Two people in the vehicle that ran the stop sign were airlifted to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.

CHP said DUI was not suspected to have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
