Stanislaus County, Calif. – A was hit and killed by a vehicle in Stanislaus County early Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said a man was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a pickup truck traveling southbound on Highway 33.

The victim was killed in the incident.

The driver, a 58-year-old resident, was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
