The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office Boating Safety Unit responded to the scene north of Tower Park Marina.
San Joaquin County, Calif. – Two people died in a boating accident that happened Saturday afternoon in San Joaquin County.
The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said the accident was reported around 5 p.m. Saturday near the Tower Park Marina, off Highway 12.
The sheriff's department boating safety unit responded to the scene where they pulled two occupants from the water.
One of them, a juvenile, was rescued alive while the second, an adult, had severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The rescue team continued its efforts to search for a third occupant but later said they located the body of the victim.
Deputies said the incident was a solo boating accident but did not give extra information.
An investigation is ongoing.
