Hanford, Calif. – A woman died after being struck by a car near Hanford in Kings County on Friday night.
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Front Street near Oak Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was walking westbound on Front Street and was struck by a GMC Sierra.
The woman suffered major injuries and was transported to Adventist Health Hanford where she later died.
The name of the woman was not immediately disclosed.
More details about the accident were not released.
