Authorities said Alba was walking when he was hit by a Nissan Sentra traveling west on Pond Road
Delano, Calif. – The man who was killed in a collision in Delano on Thursday morning has been identified as Edward Alba, 58, of Delano, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The accident took place on Pond Road, west of Wallace Road at about 6:35 a.m. March 14.
Authorities said Alba was walking when he was hit by a Nissan Sentra traveling west on Pond Road.
Alba died following the accident.
The driver, a 36-year-old Delano man, stayed at the scene after the crash
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
