Five other people, including four young boys – aged 3 months, 6, 7, and 10 years, and a 29-year-old woman were hospitalized following the crash

Los Angeles, Calif. – One person is dead and five others, including four young boys, were injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision on the 10 Freeway in the University Park area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident happened at about 3:05 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the 10 Freeway near the Hoover Street ramps.
As per the CHP, Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene and extricated a man who was trapped in one of the vehicles.
CHP officials say the trapped man was declared dead at the scene.
Five other people, including four young boys – aged 3 months, 6, 7, and 10 years, and a 29-year-old woman were hospitalized following the crash. The five patients were in serious-to-critical condition.
One person was treated at the scene and released.
The incident remains under investigation.
