Police said Smith was in the area when he was hit by a vehicle Jensen and Bardell Avenues

Fresno, Calif. – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Fresno on Thursday morning has been identified as Cory Smith, 37, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office.
The crash took place on Jensen and Bardell avenues at about 4:30 a.m. March 14.
Police said a pedestrian was in the area when he was hit by a vehicle.
The victim, identified as Smith, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
