Douglas County, Ore. – 47-year-old Christopher Zeutzius of Lakeside was killed in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 in Douglas County last week Tuesday morning.
The Oregon State Police responded to the deadly auto-pedestrian crash at around 5:22 a.m. on March 12 on Interstate 5 near milepost 127.
The preliminary investigation indicated a Ford F-150, operated by Brian Surgeon ,45, of Myrtle Creek, was merging onto southbound Interstate 5 when it struck Zeutzius, who was crossing the on-ramp.
Zeutzius was pronounced de4ad at the scene. Surgeon was not injured in the accident.
More details about the accident was not provided.
The cause of the mishap remains under investigation.
