Phoenix, Ariz. – The passenger killed in a car crash Tuesday night at an intersection in Phoenix has been identified.
Sergio Vasquez, 24, was involved in a vehicle collision that happened at around 10:30 p.m. at 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road.
The vehicle carrying Vasquez was speeding on the westbound 83rd Avenue when it collided with a northbound car on Thomas Road for unknown reasons.
The driver of the speeding car and passenger, Vazquez were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where Vazquez was pronounced dead.
The driver remains hospitalized and is said to be in critical condition.

Phoenix, Ariz. – A man was killed in a crash at an intersection in West Phoenix on Tuesday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, the wreck happened at about 10:30 p.m. March 19, at 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road.
Police said one of the drivers was unresponsive at the scene.
The man was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The other driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately released.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
