Whitman County, Wash. – 72-year-old Leonard Loreen of Spokane was killed and Louis Brenner, 48, injured in a head-on crash on Highway 195 in Whitman County Wednesday afternoon.
At around 12:30 p.m. on March 20, the Washington State Department of Transportation responded to call about a deadly crash on State Route 195 near Bauer Road.
A southbound 2017 Ford Transit van on Highway 195 driven by Loreen crossed the center line and collided head-on with a northbound dump truck operated by Brenner.
Loreen was pronounced dead at the scene while Brenner was hospitalized with injuries.

Whitman County, Wash. – At least one person was killed in a collision in Whitman County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The incident occurred on Highway 195 near Bauer Road at about 12:30 p.m.
WSDOT said a van and a dump truck were involved in the head-on collision between Uniontown and Colton.
At least one person was killed in the incident.
The identities of the involved parties were not immediately available.
Both directions of Highway 195 were shut down following the accident.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
