County, CA – One person is dead following a two-vehicle traffic collision at a intersection Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 7:56 p.m. Friday, March 22 at the intersection of Monson and Sumner avenues.

According to the CHP, a vehicle crashed into a big rig. One person in the vehicle was pinned inside the car.

The pinned party was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
