Santa Rosa, CA. – A 56-year-old woman was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Sunday morning in Santa Rosa.

The accident happened at around 7:15 a.m. at Parktrail Drive and Summerfield Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Santa Rosa woman was walking across Parktrail Drive in the crosswalk when a vehicle traveling southbound on Summerfield struck her.

The woman suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
