Lake Mathews, CA. – At least five people were injured in a traffic collision that happened near Lake Mathews in Riverside County on Tuesday evening.
The collision was reported around 7:29 p.m. in the area of Cajalco Road and La Sierra Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Two vehicles collided head-on on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
One person suffered major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Four other people were hospitalized with minor injuries.
