Oscar Santos Farela Killed in Los Angeles Crash at 29th Street and Arlington Avenue

, CA. – 26-year-old Oscar Santos Farela has been identified by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office as one of the two people who died in a car crash in the Jefferson Park area on Thursday morning.

The collision happened around 11:50 a.m. in the area of West 29th Street and Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A black BMW was traveling southbound on Arlington Avenue when it ran a red light at the intersection and struck several parked vehicles.

Farela and a woman were found unresponsive in the BMW and were pronounced dead at the accident scene.

One occupant of the BMW ran away from the scene but was apprehended and taken into custody.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
