, CA. – The Sheriff's Department has identified Elizabeth Puentes, 22, of as killed in South San Jacinto Avenue in San Jacinto Wednesday evening.

The deadly auto-pedestrian crash happened at around 7:58 p.m. on March 28 at South San Jacinto Avenue and Shaver Street.

Reportedly, Puentes stepped off the sidewalk into the roadway and was hit by a silver Honda sedan.

Puentes was pronounced dead at the crash site.

San Jacinto, CA – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in San Jacinto on Wednesday evening, according to the authorities.

The incident took place at South San Jacinto Avenue and Shaver Street at about 7:58 p.m. March 28.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, a pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk into the roadway and was hit by a silver Honda sedan.

The pedestrian, whose name was not immediately released, died following the incident.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

No further details were released.
