According to witnesses Ruben Rodriguez was crossing in the crosswalk against a red light and walked into the path of an eastbound vehicle on San Bernardino and was struck.

Redlands, CA – A 41-year-old pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle at a Redlands intersection on March 13 has been identified as Ruben Angel Rodriguez, 41, of Colton, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The deadly pedestrian crash happened at about 5:00 a.m. on March 13 at the intersection of San Bernardino Avenue and California Street.
According to witnesses Ruben Rodriguez was crossing in the crosswalk against a red light and walked into the path of an eastbound vehicle on San Bernardino and was struck.
As per the Redlands Police Department, the driver of the vehicle stopped and contacted 911, before performing CPR on the pedestrian until police and paramedics arrived.
Rodriguez was then transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say the driver showed no signs of impairment.
The incident remains under investigation.
