The bicyclist was struck Friday evening near the intersection of Happy Valley and El Mirage roads.

Maricopa County, AZ – A bicyclist is nursing serious injuries after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver Friday evening at an intersection in the northwest Valley, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.
The accident was reported to the authorities around 6:30 p.m. at Happy Valley and El Mirage roads.
Passersby called authorities after seeing a man in the roadway with injuries.
MCSO deputies responded to the scene and found the victim with life-threatening injuries. The man was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
Deputies said the man was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a car whose driver did not stop to render aid.
No details were given about the suspect driver and car.
An investigation is ongoing.
