At Least One Killed, 2 Injured in Head-on Crash on I-15 in San Bernardino County

County, CA – At least one person is dead following a head-on crash that also sent a mother and a 3-year-old child to hospital on 15 Freeway in San Bernadino County Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at about 1:44 p.m. on northbound , south of Halloran Springs Road off-ramp.

According to the CHP, a black Mercedes Benz SUV and a Kia SUV were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles went from the southbound side to the northbound lanes and collided head-on with the other vehicle.

CHP officers and San Bernardino County Fire crews responded to the scene following an iPhone traffic collision alert.

The firefighters transported a 40-year-old mother and a 3-year-old child to Community Hospital. The mother had possible paralysis and the child had a right arm injury.

According to the CHP, at least one person died in the crash.

No additional details regarding the incident were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
