Investigators said a Nissan Versa was traveling west on Fifth Street over the riverbed when it crossed into opposite lanes of traffic and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on

Santa Ana, CA. – A woman was killed in a head-on collision Saturday night at Fairview Street in Santa Ana.
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, the incident happened in the area of Fairview Street and Fifth Street at around 9:53 p.m. on March 30.
Investigators said a Nissan Versa was traveling west on Fifth Street over the riverbed when it crossed into opposite lanes of traffic and struck a Chevrolet Tahoe head-on.
The female driver of the Nissan was rushed to UCI Medical Center, where she later died.
A female driver inside the Chevy, alongside her toddler, was not injured.
The identity of the deceased was upheld pending notification of the next of kin.
