WSP says both drivers were injured and taken to hospitals in Yakima and Richland.

Yakima County, WA. – Two people were injured in a head-on collision that happened on Sunday afternoon near Toppenish in Yakima County.
The accident happened around 3:38 p.m. on State Route 97 at milepost 43, the Washington State Patrol Troopers said.
A 22-year-old Bend man was driving a car northbound when he crossed into the southbound lane and collided head-on with another car driven by a 29-year-old Portland woman.
WSP says both drivers were injured and taken to hospitals in Yakima and Richland.
Additional information about the accident was not provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
