The police responded to the wreck at around 5:30 a.m. at Ocean and Colorado Avenues.
A vehicle hit a pedestrian at the intersection in unclear circumstances.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately disclosed died at the scene.
The driver behind the wheel remained at the crash site and cooperated with the police.
The intersection was closed during the on-scene investigation.
