, CA – A 19-year-old man who was killed in a crash that left five other people injured Tuesday following a two-vehicle crash in Cathedral City has been identified.

Noah Garcia, of Cathedral City, was seriously injured and was rushed to Desert Regional Medical Center where he died, according to the County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Bureau.

Authorities say Garcia was driving a vehicle northbound at a high rate of speed on Cathedral Canyon and crashed into a second vehicle that was making a left turn from Cathedral Canyon onto 33rd Avenue. The impact caused Garcia's vehicle to slam into two mailboxes and two parked vehicles and came to rest in the driveway.

Garcia and his four passengers  – one male juvenile, one female juvenile and two women, aged 20 and 21, were injured in the crash.

The two young women suffered fractures and the juveniles sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the second vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Cathedral City, CA – One person was killed and four others hurt in a crash that took place in Cathedral City on Monday night, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.

The wreck occurred at 9:07 p.m. on April 8, on 33rd Avenue and Cathedral Canyon Drive.

According to the report, a 19-year-old was speeding in the area with four passengers in the vehicle when the vehicle collided with a second car.

The occupants of the first vehicle were rushed to a hospital with major injuries and the driver died at the hospital.

The driver of the second car was unhurt but a passenger in the car had minor injuries.

The passengers in the first car were only identified as two women aged 20 and 21, and two juveniles.

Police are working to determine the cause of the collision.
