William Alexander Killed in Tucson Pedestrian Accident on South Alvernon Way near East 25th Street

Tucson, AZ – William Ray Alexander, 55, was hit and killed by a vehicle in midtown Tucson on Wednesday night, according to the Tucson Police Department.

The crash happened on South Alvernon Way near East 25th Street at about 8 p.m. April 10.

According to police, Alexander was walking across the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a 2008 Ford F-150.

Alexander was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup remained at the scene.

Police said the driver was not impaired at the time of the collision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
