A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Southern Avenue when it ran a red light and collided with another vehicle traveling southbound on 48th Street
Tempe, AZ – One person was killed and another injured in a collision in Tempe early Saturday morning, according to the Tempe Police Department.
The accident took place on 48th Street and Southern Avenue at about 1:26 a.m.
A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Southern Avenue when it ran a red light and collided with another vehicle traveling southbound on 48th Street.
The eastbound driver died at the hospital.
The other driver was treated for minor injuries.
Impairment and speed are suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
