A southbound Freightliner and trailer operated by Gurwinder Sigh, 34, of Tracy, hit Carter who was in the fast lane
Deschutes County, Ore. – 75-year-old James Ray Carter of Bend was killed in a pedestrian crash on Highway 97 in Deschutes County last month.
The OSP responded to the wreck at around 8:24 p.m. on March 27 on State Route 97 near milepost 139.
A southbound Freightliner and trailer operated by Gurwinder Sigh, 34, of Tracy, hit Carter who was in the fast lane.
Carter was pronounced dead at the crash site.
Sigh was uninjured and remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
No additional information about the wreck was provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
