San Diego, CA. – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car in the Clairemont Mesa West neighborhood of San Diego on Friday night.
The accident happened around 10:41 p.m. on 3300 Genesee Avenue, according to San Diego police.
A 34-year-old woman was walking in the area and was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Genesee.
The pedestrian suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, including a pelvic fracture and a laceration to the back of the head and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
