Fresno, CA. – An elderly woman was hospitalized after being struck by a car on Sunday night in Fresno.
The accident happened in the area of Olive and Hughes avenues near Choice Food Market, at around 8 p.m., according to the Fresno Police Department.
A 79-year-old woman was reportedly struck by a car in unclear circumstances.
The woman suffered major injuries and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
