Christina Diamond Dies in Mesa Accident on University Drive near Crismon Road

, AZ – The woman killed in a collision in Mesa on April 18 has been identified as Christina Diamond, 33, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

The collision occurred on University Drive near Crismon Road at about 1 a.m.

Authorities said a Ford Mustang traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into the back of a Nissan Frontier.

The impact caused the Nissan to roll over, and crashed through a fence.

The driver of the Nissan, identified as Diamond, was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The other driver, David Lane, 66, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lane is expected to face DUI charges following the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
