Elias was hit by a Chevrolet Trailblazer truck and suffered serious injuries, including skull fractures
Glendale, CA – A 13-year-old boy died days after being involved in a hit-and-run collision in Glendale on April 11, the Glendale Police Department said.
The crash happened while the boy, identified as Elias Bizzle, and a group of minors were riding bikes near Northern and 47th avenues at about 7:30 p.m.
Elias was hit by a Chevrolet Trailblazer truck and suffered serious injuries, including skull fractures.
He was rushed to a hospital, where he died on Tuesday, April 23.
The driver fled the scene after the accident but later turned himself in to the authorities days later.
The suspect, identified as Joshua Holbert, 27, was arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident causing injury or death.
The incident is under investigation.
