Pima County, AZ. – 66-year-old Ashely Smith has been identified as a victim killed in a head-on collision on Highway 86 in Pima County last week Friday.

The police responded to the accident on near Ryan Airfield on April 19.

A westbound car on the highway operated by a 26-year-old driver veered into the eastbound lane for unknown reasons and collided head-on with Smith's car.

Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver and 70-year-old passenger in Smith's car were rushed to a -area hospital in critical condition.

Pima County, AZ – One person was killed and two others were severely injured in a collision between two vehicles in Pima County on Friday, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

The accident took place on State Route 86 near milepost 157, near Ryan Airfield on Friday, April 19.

According to the report, a driver went across the center line and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

The second driver was killed in the accident.

A passenger in that vehicle and the driver who crossed the centerline were hospitalized with critical injuries.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
