Corona, CA. – 60-year-old James Saunders has been identified as the man who died in a car crash that left several other people injured early Saturday morning in Corona.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:22 a.m. on the southbound 15 Freeway near Weirick Road.
A black Toyota Camry and a yellow Hummer were involved in the crash, blocking traffic lanes.
One of the cars was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the collision.
Saunders, a resident of Concord, was killed in the accident, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
Firefighters responded to the scene and provided medical aid to multiple people who were injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
