Authorities said a motorcycle with two riders was splitting lanes when it hit the back of a pickup truck.

San Diego, CA. – At least one person died in a motorcycle accident that happened Saturday afternoon on a freeway in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said.
The collision took place around 3:30 p.m. on the eastbound 8 Freeway near Sports Arena Boulevard.
CHP said a motorcycle with two riders was splitting lanes when it slammed into the back of a pickup truck.
At least one person was killed in the accident.
The Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were shut down following the collision.
CHP officers are investigating the crash.
