El Monte, CA. – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash that happened Saturday morning at an intersection in El Monte.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the accident occurred around 7:20 a.m. at Chico and Garvey avenues.
Authorities said a pedestrian was crossing the street in a crosswalk when they were hit by a light-colored sedan. The driver fled the scene after the accident.
The victim died from injuries sustained in the crash.
No details were given about the suspect driver and car.
