Escondido, CA – A teenager died following a vehicle collision in Escondido on Saturday night, the Escondido Police Department said.
The wreck took place at about 10 p.m. April 28, near North Broadway and Country Club Drive.
The circumstances under which the accident happened were not immediately established.
According to the report, firefighters and medics responded to the scene an performed life-saving measures on the victims of the collision.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
A woman was transported to Scripps La Jolla Hospital while a man was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital.
There was no update on the conditions of the patients.
One of the drivers, identified as Alexander Tito Oroz, 20, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.
He was also transported to Tri City Hospital for treatment.
The incident is under investigation.
