The Isleton man, who was driving an SUV westbound on Highway 12, was unable to avoid colliding with the boat being towed by the truck

Lodi, CA – A 45-year-old Isleton man was killed in a collision in Lodi on Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on Highway 12 near Guard Road at about 8:15 p.m. April 28.
According to the CHP, a pickup truck towing a trailer carrying a boat was heading east on Highway 12 when the trailer drifted into the westbound side.
The Isleton man, who was driving an SUV westbound, was unable to avoid colliding with the boat being towed by the truck.
The SUV also collided with multiple metal posts and crashed into a grape vineyard.
Despite life-saving measures performed on the Isleton man, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Two women riding as passengers in the SUV were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Two other passengers in the SUV were unhurt.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
