Phoenix police said the woman was driving a passenger car northbound on 19th Avenue from Cactus Road when she drifted into the opposing lanes, hit the west curb, and collided head-on with the southbound city bus

Phoenix, AZ – A woman died in a head-on collision with a city bus in north Phoenix on Monday morning, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident took place on 19th Avenue and Larkspur Drive shortly after 9 a.m.
Phoenix police said the woman was driving a passenger car northbound on 19th Avenue from Cactus Road when she drifted into the opposing lanes, hit the west curb, and collided head-on with the southbound city bus.
The woman died at the site of the accident.
Three passengers were on the bus and one of them was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other two declined medical transport.
An investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway.
